The much-awaited floating restaurant on Ramgarh Tal Lake is set to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on September 19. The Gorakhpur Development Authority (GDA) is making final preparations following the Chief Minister’s approval. Located on the scenic Ramgarh Tal, this unique restaurant is designed to attract both tourists and locals, enhancing Gorakhpur’s growing appeal as a travel destination.
In addition to the floating restaurant, Lake Queen, a 5-star floating facility, is also set to offer a luxurious experience to the people of Gorakhpur. This floating marvel promises high-end amenities, combining comfort with stunning views of Ramgarh Tal. Visitors will have the chance to enjoy a premium floating experience with modern conveniences, making it an attractive option for tourists and locals alike. The Lake Queen aims to elevate the city’s tourism by offering another unique and luxurious water-based experience.
A Unique Dining Experience
Modern Facilities and Scenic Views- The floating restaurant, named ‘Float,’ offers a one-of-a-kind dining experience amid the calm waters of Ramgarh Tal. Spread over 100 feet in length and 33 feet in width, it can accommodate up to 150 diners. With full air-conditioning and two lifts for convenience, the restaurant provides stunning views of the lake, making it perfect for family outings, romantic dinners, and social gatherings. The project has cost approximately ₹10 crore.
Dining Options for Every Taste
First Floor Food Court
The first floor of the floating restaurant will feature a food court offering a variety of dishes, priced affordably between ₹100 and ₹150. Visitors can enjoy vegetarian fast food, Chinese cuisine, breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner. The management has confirmed that all necessary approvals have been completed, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Luxury Bar and Open Deck
The second floor will feature a luxury bar, restaurant, and disc, with live music to entertain visitors. Although the restaurant will initially serve only vegetarian food, non-vegetarian options will be introduced later. The third floor offers an open deck, allowing tourists to take in the beautiful surroundings of Ramgarh Tal while enjoying their meals or hosting private parties.

Operational Details
The floating restaurant will be open every day from 7 AM to 11 PM. To manage the expected crowd, an online booking system will be available. The restaurant will employ a staff of 50 people to ensure smooth operations. Alok Agarwal, the Managing Director, has confirmed that preparations are in full swing for the grand opening.
